As my binge on Property Brothers came to a close, I decided to start watching Buying and Selling. I found it kind of interesting, because I’ve always seen the buying aspect of those times of shows, but never the selling aspects of real estate. It was actually interesting to see Drew do something for once other than show up when all of the work was done. I kind, somewhat, but really, what does Drew usually do while Jonathon is doing the entire renovation. Either way, if you want to do about how stressful it is being a homeowner, you should definitely what this and give yourself mini heart attacks when you hear the price tags of the new homes.

In the spirit of my love of home renovation shows, I have gone through a binge of watching Property Brothers. This show has been one of my favorites since I really got into watching home and garden type programming. I’m the type of viewer that dissects every single decision that the new homeowners are making. Not only are they not understanding how much work goes into things, but the cost of things. They come in, ask for some design feature to be added and then are shocked that is is not in their budget. In my opinion, a simple Google search could have solved that. I know that some of it is for the drama of television, but my simpleton mind can’t understand it. I’m also convinced that these homeowners are able to afford what they can afford it because of the Canadian funny-money. It would take me years to complete what these families end up getting in a matter of months. It also, at the end of the day, helps me decide that things that I want in a house, no matter how far away that may be. If I make the same stupid decisions that I bag on the homeowners on the show do, you have permission to hit me over the head.
Old Homes in Waco, Texas
I think everyone had the point in life where they can’t understand the appeal of HGTV. I am officially past that point. Recently, I discovered that Hulu put Fixer Upper on its streaming service. Unfortunately, it is only three seasons, but I hoping that they add more later on. This is one of my favorite renovation shows on HGTV. Instead of doing something else for this blog, I’ve been binge watching these first three seasons. I’m a bit behind on my schedule, but I think it is worth it for the chemistry. Chip and Jo are one of the cutest couples that I have ever seen, and their kids are just so adorable. They should not be allowed to be that cute. It should be against the law. I’m a bit sad that they canceled the show, especially since they got pregnant again. I really want to see the new baby, but at least I know that they are doing well and are happy. But I can still hope that they bring the show back when the baby is older.
