HGTV: The Game

I game that I literally spent a week binge playing was House Flipper. I saw it all over YouTube and I wanted to have more of a chance to review it myself. I absolutely loved it. I did every single mission and I’m in the process of flipping the houses from the Buy menu. I think I love this game so much because I spend lots of my free time watching HGTV. I was fun for a chance to do the actual designing. I honestly wished that there were more options for furniture or lighting. I now that the team would need to spend time programming it, but I think that’s really the only thing I would change. I enjoy the puzzle of figuring out what each buyer wants and having fun trying to design based on their different tastes. I feel that if in games you spend a lot of time designing your living quarters, this might be the game for you. I know that I spend hours at a time building my houses in Minecraft, so this is the more realistic version with painting.

One Shot Assassin

I never expected an endless runner styled shooting game, but there is Mr. Gun. The game is minimalistic in plot and design, but I think that’s the beauty of it. You play as an assassin that is trying to take down a bunch of bosses on your bucket list, but first, you have to get through their minions. You are going upstairs, shooting your way up to the boss. The stairs are randomly generated along with the minions, so there is no telling how tall or short the starts are going to be, and you only have one shot or your dead. What I like about this game that is not present in most endless runners is that there is a leveling system. Instead of facing a bunch of minions and facing the exact same bosses every single time, you begin at the first level you haven’t defeated a boss on. There is still the ability to try and get a higher score every single time that you play, but it doesn’t come with the feeling that after you die, you have to start over at the very beginning. Also, there is the ability to change guns, once you own them. Each one has slightly different abilities. There are also different outfits. After I got the Hitman 47 skin, I didn’t bother looking at the others, so that’s something you for you to discover.

If you would like the play this game, you can find it on Andriod, iOS, and a variety of online sites.

Making Bigger Dragons

In the past couple of months, I would say, I’ve been obsessed with merging games. Merge these fruits. Merge these cars. Merge these houses. Right now, my obsession is over Merge Dragons. Its premise is pretty much the same as every other merge game, but it adds another element to the formula. I will admit, I first downloaded that game because I kept getting the ads and wanted to see what all hype was about. I was instantly hooked. In the background of all the merging, there is a story that unfolds. You are not just making bigger dragons, although that is a small part of it. You are trying to heal a land that was once overrun with zomblins. So, alongside merging, there is a small bit of an action mechanic and it is very strategy based. Sometimes making a certain merge is not in your best interest. Now, I will admit that this game has all of the hallmarks of a pay to play system. There are lots of elements that go by a lot quicker if you were to pay for them. I haven’t purchased anything so I can say that you will have fun with is game without making microtransactions. I play for a little bit, do something else for a couple of hours, and then get right make into the game exactly where I left off practically.

If you want to experience this game for yourself or just learn more about it, you can go and check out their website. It has all of the information on the app you can possibly handle.

Rebuilding the Island

Unless you have been living under a rock, you are sure to have noticed the influx of games that revolve around complete puzzles in order to rebuild something, be it mansions or gardens. A new addition to this genre of gaming is Lost Island: Blast Adventure. I like this game because instead of a match three, is a … blow up blocks of a color. It’s the same premise, but different. From what I have seen in the game, there are lots of interesting characters and a mystery to unravel through the power of archeology. I would check it out if you can so you can have a seal. Have I told you that you get a seal friend?

You can get this game on Android and iOS.

My Little Vet Clinic

One of the many recent games that I have downloaded on my phone has Pet Rescue. What can I say about it other than it is super adorable? The animal and character designs are well done. The simple animations are absolutely perfect. The premise of the game is that you are running a vet clinic with different services that you can upgrade your care for animals and help out missing animals. The first part is more time management and the second is waiting for a time to expire. There are also three worlds currently available as I am writing this. I have only played in two of them. The different worlds have different services you can offer and different animals to rescue. My one complaint is that the vets don’t get different outfits for the different world. I know that it is a silly complaint, but I just think it would be really cute.

You can get that game for Android and a bunch of random platforms from I saw.

Gaming for the Planet

To be clear, I am considering JouleBug a game because that is what it is called in the GooglePlay store. It’s more of a competition so close enough. What I love about this “game” is that you work with other people to save the planet. There are a variety of tasks you can “Buzz” to tell the world that you did an action to help the environment. There are also competitions every once in a while to show off you world-saving actions to everyone involved. My one problem is that it’s so hard to remember to buzz in, and that is of no fault of the app. At this point, I just do things and realize that hours later I could have buzzed something. Also, I’m a vegetarian, and there is an action that says go a day without meat, so I literally could get that one every day if I were to remember. But I do think this is a fun app to use if you wanted to compete with your friends over something.

You can get the app for Android and iOS. If you would like more information about the company, the website is here. There are also similar apps with slightly different functions from this company if you want to check them out.

Miraculous Run

A new app game that is taking my heart way isĀ Miraculous Ladybug and Cat Noir – The Official Game. The set up is very much like Temple Run, but it isn’t a endless runner, and that is a possitive. Instead of endlessly trying to best your score every single time, there are goals to accomplish in every single time. Completing the goal of every single level with a three-star rating. For me, that is more of an incentive than beating a high score each and every run. The locations change up a tiny bit and you get to see different versions of your favorite characters. I also love how based on who you are playing as, the movements change to better reflect the characters. That is my favorite part of the animation. There are also scenes from the show that is a tribute to the source material. Truely brilliant and adorable.

You can get the game on Andriod and iOS.

Going to Grandpa’s

Playing escape games were a past time for me, and I recently wanted to get back into them. In comes Escape Logan Estate. It is an escape style game with a story. You are at you grandfather’s house and are searching around it. Other than that, I’m a little confused about what is going on. You have to solve puzzles around the house, but it’s not to escape. It’s to uncover the story. The first chapter is free, but the last two are about $3.00 each. Someone might find the worth it, but I personally didn’t, especially when you introduce a story element that has no conclusion. If you just play the first chapter, you will understand. At the end of it, I had more questions than answers. Maybe you guys can explain to me what’s going on. Personally, I wouldn’t pay for this game, but unfortunately, I found that out afterward. If you guys still want to play the game, you can find it on Android and iOS.

Dean of the Hospital

Because I’ve been kinda stressed, I have discovered a new game to play. (I’m not obsessed, guys. I promise) It is calledĀ Hey Hospital. It is kind-of your basic resource management that takes place in a hospital. You have to build examination and treatment rooms for all of your patients, create a relaxing environment with decor and seating, and make sure that your doctors are leveling up as well. The game also does a really good job of making game progress when you are offline. Your doctor’s and patients are pretty independent and can direct themselves to where needed. Honestly, you spend the majority of the time watching everyone walk around. It’s kinda relaxing. At higher levels, the game becomes slightly more involved. At this point, I have gotten to a point where I felt forced to purchase anything. The pacing so far has been fairly balanced it far. It is a great little game to play when you want to wast a little (okay, a lot) of time. You can get this game for Andriod. As of writing this, the game is not completely released yet, but I’m sure that it will come out to other platforms once the game is complete.

Update: Animal Crossing Pocket Camp

With all of the recent updates that I been released for Animal Crossing, I’ve decided to review the new updates. If you would like to read my previous statements, click here.

Some of the most recent updates included a lot of fun events center around the season. They are really fun to participate in and don’t require too much extra effort. You just have to remember that the event is occurring and to purchase the special items. Another event was a butterfly event that was fun to take place in. Once again, the game practically holds your hand along the way to the event. For this event, you just had to plant seeds that the different animals gave you and catch butterflies that came to feed. The only thing I wished happened was that the catch rate was slightly higher. It felt that the catch rate was way too low at the level of catching I was at.

An overall new update is the crafting of clothing. It’s a nice update considering the fact that there is only a small chance of clothes you may want showing up. One thing I wish was available was that you can choose color options that you want and patterns. I understand in this phase of the development of the app that they may not be able to do that, but I would like that. There is some clothing that is not to my tastes, but I can definitely see them being someone else’s.
