Anyone who knows me knows that one of my favorite board games is the infamous “Monopoly.” And how could it not be? It is a game filled with trying to screw everyone over. Yes, it can take hours, but that is part of the fun. Now imagine my surprise when I find out the there is the a version of the game on the Wii, and it has been super sized. In this new version of Monopoly known as “Fortune Street,” not only do you have to buy a bunch of properties, you are introduced to more than the classic square board. You are introduced to boards that move around and transport you all over the screen and buying properties in a district help the rent grow. Not only that, but you can now buy stocks. The “stock market” in this game can make or break you, by buying a lot of stocks while they are low and then making it crash by selling a bunch of your shares. This game just makes the wonderful game of Monopoly so much better and go where you may or may not have wanted it to.

WARNING: You May Need Tissues
Okay, so I may or may not have teared up at the ending of The Best of Me by Nicholas Sparks. I don’t know how he does it, but he is amazing at creating exposition in a way that immediately brings you into the story and instantly identify with the characters. I immediately had a soft spot for Dawson, the male protagonist. As much as I liked this book, I completely loved and hated the ending. As much as I understood why the ending was what it was, Amanda, the female protagonist, started to completely annoy me. She refused to go where I wanted her to or say what I wanted her to say. Even though I will continue to believe that if what the story was, led where I wanted it to lead, the novel would have been so much better, the ending was beauty, even if I had some resentments about it.

Notebooks are Deadly
Recently, I have finished the amazing manga called Death Note by Tsugumi Ohba. I will admit that is has been the first non-shoujo manga that I have ever read, but I was not disappointed. The plot was intense from the very first chapter. The characters were amazing, and the plot twists were twisty. Half of what happened I could have never have imagined happening, but it did. And the ending. What is there to say about the ending except that it was game changing. If you are looking for a manga to read or to re-read, I would highly recommend this one. This was one where I could not stop thinking about during the long process of reading this. It did get dark at times, but it wasn’t too dark or gory that it was distracting. I would rate the entire series five stars out of five stars.
Although the next manga I read will probably be a shoujo (I love my shoujos), I am always looking for new mangas to read, or even an anime to watch. If you want me to review it, just leave it in the comments below.
Scary Things Come In Four
As many may or may not know, the fourth and final (for now, at least) installment of Five Nights at Freddy’s has been released. I have been obsessed with the game and have watched others play for kicks and giggles (as soon as I get over the jump scares of course) from the very beginning it seems like. This game, which ironically doesn’t last five “nights,” has had people theorising about it’s lore from the very beginning making the comments section of these videos the place to be. If you have not heard of this gaming series, go ahead and check it out. If this game is just not your thing, it’s just not your thing, but if you are looking for a horror game with secrets on every camera screen, this Chuck E Cheese inspired game may be for you.
