In the webcomic set in the future, there is an amazing one known as Always Human by walkingnorth. It’s a beautiful romance between two very different girls with different goals for life. Every moment between them is beautiful; every moment is believable. One thing I enjoyed was that not every moment of their lives was not wrapped up in one another. They have struggles and friendships outside of their relationship. Not every moment is filled with fluff, even though the fluff was the cutest thing ever. And when the couple fought, it was over meaningful stuff, and their arguments were reasonable. They weren’t too nasty to one another, which made them even more adorable. I definitely would recommend reading this again and again.

Walking Simulator: The Anime
If you want a borning anime to watch (and I honestly don’t know what you would), there is Kokkoku or Moment by Moment. And by boring, I truly mean boring. The first episode set up the premise pretty well, but after that, it went downhill pretty quickly. For episodes on end, the characters would just be walking around. And having tiny bouts of dialogue, but that would be it. When they would try to world build, it would often be the same person explaining something that they already explained before in the exact same way. Also, their reasoning would be one of the stupidest things ever. Trust me. When the “villain” finally explains why he is doing what he is doing, it is a literal facepalm. The whys and hows just never make any sense.
Greatest Female Thief
I just finished watching the great anime known as Lupin the Third: Mine Fujiko to Iu Onna or Lupin the Third: The Woman Called Fujiko Mine. When I watched this, I was told that it was a prequel to the Lupin the Third series, which is good that I didn’t have to watch anything else to understand it. Everything that you need to know is answered within the series, making it a great stand alone. Not only that, but the story was amazing. It kept my attention the entire time. At the end of every episode, I wanted more answers to what was going on. There is just so much mystery going on. Warning, though: it is a very mature anime. Lets’ just say that the protagonist is very comfortable with her body and likes to show it off. There are also some trigger warnings of suicide and abuse towards the end, but it is not very explicit. I feel like I should tell people that. If you can get past that, it is a very enjoyable anime.
Raising a Doll
In the cute little anime known as Gugure! Kokkuri-san, the fox god known as Kokkuri-san helps raise Kohina, a girl who believes that she is a doll. It has an amazing cast of characters that are hilarious and heart-warming at the same time. With a supernatural and slightly creepy twist of a family drama, this family has to get through day-to-day without accidentally ending the world. Maybe not end the world but definitely trying to kill each other. They kinda fail at that one quite a bit. It’s a cute little show for a shounen (It makes sense as to why it’s a shounen after a bit.). Have a mentioned how amazing the characters are by the way. Their interactions with each other are the best.
Happiness Meets Poverty
In the anime Binbougami Ga! or Good Luck Girl, you meet two adversaries. One, a girl who has an overwhelming amount of happiness or good luck energy who also slowly sucks this away from other people, and the other, a poverty god who is just trying to right the scales. It is a funny show with fun characters that everyone would fall in love with. This show is classified as a shounen, so there are some really perverted male characters, but you just have to run with it. The characters are memorable, and watching them grow is truly remarkable. I would suggest this to anyone who whats a good laugh. It is fast-paced action and hardly any filler. I honestly want the second season that they were hinting at the end.
Dress-Up IRL
In the weird world that is anime logic, there is Ai Mai! Moe Can Change! It is apparently based on a video game, and you can honestly tell. It is a single episode of what-is-going-on. It is simple and straight to the point, but it is still almost unintelligible amongst the nonsense. Some people are people; some people are robots. Everything starts when two girls find a phone that can change people’s outfits at will. It’s an interesting thirty minutes of comedy that is definitely for the shoujo loving crowd. It is fast-paced animation, bright colors, and a single magic girl transformation sequence that made my heart squeal. And honestly, it is a thirty-minute show. What do you have to lose?
Canadian Police Force
A show that I watch kinda sporadically was Flashpoint. Well, good news. I have actually watched the entire show from start to finish, finally. It is an action packed thriller that is a combination of a S.W.A.T. team and Criminal Minds. I can’t say it’s like the show S.W.A.T., because I have not seen it yet. But this show was action and drama is intensive and nerve-wracking. There are times when you cannot tell that it will go well for the protagonists. This is a sit on the edge of your seat kind of cop show. Instead of having days to solve a crime like in other shows, in this one, they have a couple of hours, at most, to solve the issue. Sometimes, they don’t even get that. It is fast paced and enjoyable ride from start to finish.
Going to Grandpa’s
Playing escape games were a past time for me, and I recently wanted to get back into them. In comes Escape Logan Estate. It is an escape style game with a story. You are at you grandfather’s house and are searching around it. Other than that, I’m a little confused about what is going on. You have to solve puzzles around the house, but it’s not to escape. It’s to uncover the story. The first chapter is free, but the last two are about $3.00 each. Someone might find the worth it, but I personally didn’t, especially when you introduce a story element that has no conclusion. If you just play the first chapter, you will understand. At the end of it, I had more questions than answers. Maybe you guys can explain to me what’s going on. Personally, I wouldn’t pay for this game, but unfortunately, I found that out afterward. If you guys still want to play the game, you can find it on Android and iOS.
Down the Rabbit Hole Pt 1
This book is severely weird in a hope that as soon as I mention the title of said book, you will get my point. I just read Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. I mean I watched the Disney version, as well as the first Tim Burton one, but it didn’t prepare me for how weird it was. There were sections that I had to reread several times just so I could get all of the facts straight. The way dialogue was written also threw me off but that is another story. And to be completely honest, I have no clue how the story ended. I think I understand what happened, but I’m still not 100%. I’ve asked other people who have read the book, and they are not too sure about it either. It is a short book so I could reread it again to try and figure it out, but I’m pretty sure it’s not supposed to make sense. I will be reading the second to embrace myself in the weirdness once again. Let’s hope I can get out of that one brain completely intact.
One to Save Them All: Pt 1
There are many times when you start to read a series, you get to the last update available, and then completely forget about the series until years later when that are about five more updates. This is one of those series. I have recently rediscovered a series known as The Fallen. I’m pretty sure that there are seven books in this series, but I only remember two of said books, so I decided to reread and finish the series.
It was just as good as I remember. It was fast-paced and didn’t waste a single scene. This series surrounds angels and religious symbolism. This means that if you are sensitive to this sort of things in books, this probably isn’t the series for you. But if you are okay with this sort of thing, I’m confident that you will enjoy this book. The protagonist relatable and well written. He sticks to his guns unlike many other characters in a similar situation as he. He is also a fighter. He is a genuinely a good character that you want to succeed.
I’ll be writing reviews for this series similar to how I am writing reviews for the Vampire for Hire series. Hopefully, that is an easy format to follow.
