What a Bizzare Adventure Pt 3

Reading Part 3 of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure or Stardust Crusaders was an event. Not only was this part the longest of the three, it introduced a totally new concept, and it did so super well. It was such an amazing thing to see how they mixed the concept of Hamon that was prevalent in the pervious parts and mixed it together to introduce the concept of stands. Stands , put simpily, are  a manifestation of your soul. Each one, at least in this part, were expressed as tarot cards. It was just really cool to see a mixture of traditional and new creativity. So far, this is my favorite part, followed by Battle Tendency and Panthom Blood. Honestly, each part just gets better and better.

Tinder for the Gods

I’m going to tell you guys about this really interesting webcomic I finished reading. The title of this review tells you nearly all you need to know about #Blessed. In this, our protagonist is hating how lonely she is, decides to get on a dating app and accidentally wipes right on a pantheon of gods, seven to be exact. Now, she is a part of a prophecy and needs to go on dates will all of them and choose a single god. It is a really fun read, and will hopefully come out with a season 2 really soon. The ending was such a cliffhanger, and I need to know exactly what happens next. I would definitely suggest this webcomic to everyone.

Bird of Philosophy

If you ever had questions about life, Trash Bird is your … bird (I’ve no clue what this bird’s gender is, so they will just be Trash Bird.). This bird has lots of fun with their friend, Pink Bird, and completely blows the mind of their therapist. Why are they called Trash Bird, you may ask. Their home is a small pile of trash. Half of the time, I feel like Trash Bird is the bird version of me: loves food, naps and confusing everyone. This webcomic is a bunch of shorts that will subtly at times attack your funny bone. This bird is truly life.

Not Your Typical Vampire Pt. 5

Strangest Vampire Structure Ever

As I am writing this, I finished reading Vampire Knight not even ten minutes ago. I’m still trying to figure out the world’s structures because it was strange. I enjoyed the story, don’t get me wrong, even though somethings were spoiled for me ahead of time (I promise not to spoil anything here, guys.) It’s just a weird story, and I completely understand why I was told to read and not to read it at the same time. I had mixed reviews while reading it. Half-way through, I put it down, because it made my head hurt. It took me a couple of months to pick back up. At the very end, when the action started to really kick in, I couldn’t put it down. In my personal opinion, there was way too much filler in the middle trying to transition from one arc to another. It was just really awkwardly executed. Maybe the anime executed this differently and better. I’d heard better views from the anime, even though the story is weird.

Bounty Hunters Back At It

After watching the amazing three-episode saga that was Gunsmith Cats, I just had to read it. Unfortunately, I was unable to find the original manga, but I was able to read the sequel. I still found it fantastic. All of the characters were well written and had such different personalities. There is an overarching storyline that flows so well together. I did find it a bit slow towards the middle, but it picked back up at just the right moments. This manga is a bit on the mature side, but it’s not too bad in my opinion. Considering the fact that this manga takes place in America – Chicago, in fact – you don’t need to have intimate knowledge of the area like I was expecting. It just happens to take place in America. There was just a diversity of characters, but I do feel like I was missing some background on the characters and some of their motivations. I do wish that at some point I can find the original manga so that I can get the information that I think I missed by only reading the sequel. If anyone knows where I can find it, please please please tell me. It would be very much appreciated.

Down the Rabbit Hole Pt 2

This post should really be called “Through a Mirror,” but I think you guys get the point. This is the sort-of sequel to Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carrol, Through the Looking Glass. I say sort-of sequel because I’m not completely sure that it was the exact same universe. Yes, Alice recognizes some people, but they don’t seem to recognize her. This is still a weird book. There were times that I had to reread chapters because I was confused by what is going on, but I think that is the point. Is it truly supposed to be understood? It still gave me a headache though. And I absolutely do not understand what happened at the end, and I think it’s going to stay that way.

High School of Cute Couples

This the super duper adorable anime Tsuredure Children, you meet – I want to say – eight different couples with completely different stories. At first, I thought it would be annoying switching between at least four relationships every single episode, but all it did was make me want to watch more. When you leave a couple, you are left on a cliff-hanger or with a major case of the feels. Every single relationship is different, which also makes it really interesting. If it was the same relationship, every single time, it would not be as cute as it is. I feel that this show did everything right. This show is the right amount of cute and angst from all the feels. This show is for every lover of romance ever.

Miraculous Run

A new app game that is taking my heart way is Miraculous Ladybug and Cat Noir – The Official Game. The set up is very much like Temple Run, but it isn’t a endless runner, and that is a possitive. Instead of endlessly trying to best your score every single time, there are goals to accomplish in every single time. Completing the goal of every single level with a three-star rating. For me, that is more of an incentive than beating a high score each and every run. The locations change up a tiny bit and you get to see different versions of your favorite characters. I also love how based on who you are playing as, the movements change to better reflect the characters. That is my favorite part of the animation. There are also scenes from the show that is a tribute to the source material. Truely brilliant and adorable.

You can get the game on Andriod and iOS.

Metal Princess

When your co-workers are getting on your nerves, it time to sing some death metal, like Retsuko in Aggressive Retsuko (ONA). This Netflix original show had everything (in my Stephan-voice): cute, fuzzy animals, horrible bosses, and that annoying co-worker that never gets anything done because she is too busy opening a jar. This anime is a take on how you would probably deal with the stress of work if you were an animated red panda. This is based on the original shorts, but in this version, there is an actual plot. (Don’t you just love plot). And this show is decently short at just ten 15-minutes episodes that justs gives death metal some life.
