Rescue all the Puppies

One of my favorite genre of mobile games is something that I like to call Soap Opera Games. These are simple games, mostly pressing different things on the screen, and for some reason, they have the most outrageous plot lines, a complete contrast to the gameplay. This time, I played the wonderful Dr. Cares: Pet Rescue 911. I originally wanted to play this game because of all the cute puppies, I will admit, but then a bought the rest of the game because of the storyline that started to unfold. I didn’t think that a romantic subplot was going to reveal itself, but there it was. I was playing this because of the love of animals, but then cute love interests revealed. It was unexpected, but I was not disappointed. I’ll admit, I was rooting for another love interest over another, but I’ll leave that for you to decide.

You can find this game iOS, Android, KindleFire, and Steam.

A World Without Birds

As someone who wants to help save the environment, it’s actually quite surprising, that this is my first time reading the book Silent Spring by Rachel Carson. As the book that started the entire Environmental Revolution for the United States. It actually was not at all what I was expecting. It might have been because I’m not really interested in the impact that humans are doing that affect humans, it did not affect me as much as I was hoping. In my eyes, there are enough people focusing on human health, while I just want to save the animals. They are too cute not to want to save. There were moments where I just didn’t care enough about what she was saying. While we were discussing the book in class, I would mention and think about all the good things she was doing, but at the moment, I just wanted to hear about what was going on with the animals. If that makes me a bad person, I’m not ashamed. I love me some animals.

My Little Vet Clinic

One of the many recent games that I have downloaded on my phone has Pet Rescue. What can I say about it other than it is super adorable? The animal and character designs are well done. The simple animations are absolutely perfect. The premise of the game is that you are running a vet clinic with different services that you can upgrade your care for animals and help out missing animals. The first part is more time management and the second is waiting for a time to expire. There are also three worlds currently available as I am writing this. I have only played in two of them. The different worlds have different services you can offer and different animals to rescue. My one complaint is that the vets don’t get different outfits for the different world. I know that it is a silly complaint, but I just think it would be really cute.

You can get that game for Android and a bunch of random platforms from I saw.

Sweet Little Animal Friends

My latest gaming obsession has been Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp. It’s really adorable, and I play whenever I have the time. At the time of writing this blog post, I am at level 33, and I have 20 animals that can come to my campsite. For the people that have no clue what I’m talking about, leveling is through the relationships that you make with the different animals that live in the camp. The closer you get with animals, the higher you level gets as well as your friendship. In order to get animals to your “home” or campsite, you have to reach a certain friendship level and have certain items at your house. The higher the friendship level, the harder it becomes to get to the next level. In other words, if you have yet to start this fun game, you should really get on that. Playing this game is what you need in your life. It is available for Andriod and iOS. Since having friends is essential for this game, my friend code is 1892 9004 070. Feel free to friend me. Hope to see you in the woods.

The Animal Rescue Site

If you are like me, you want to help with different causes. You really do. Unfortunately for many causes, you have to donate a lot of time and money, something that often times I cannot afford. Because of this, I am often times looking for different causes that don’t cost a lot of time or money for me to be able to participate in. One such causes that I found is the Animal Rescue Site. It is their mission to help animals that are in animals shelters with needs such as food and vaccinations. Understanding that not everyone can contribute large sums of money to them, on their site, they have a large purple button, that by clicking it, you can donate some food to some of the shelters that they sponsor. I make sure to have this site up all the time so that I can make sure to click that button every day. They also have a list of more free things that you can do to help them, and also have a store so that you can purchase some swag that can help them further if you are able to contribute more to them. By doing this, it only takes a few seconds to help an animal an animal in need. Just browse their site, so that you can see the variety¬†of things that they do and see how you can help out more.

If you have other causes that are good to support, let me know. I’m always looking for more things to do, so being able to help out even with little things over a long time can make a huge difference.
