Can This Be Considered a Swimming Anime?

I have recently finished Keijo!!!!!!!! and yes the title has that many exclamation points. Seriously. What is Keijo (I refuse to make the many exclamation points again (it’s either one or three!) you may ask. It’s fanservice. … That’s about it. If you have ever played or seen someone play Dead or Alive, it pretty much the game where the girls are hitting each other with their butts, except with more action because of reasons and kinda pervy, also for reasons. I honestly have no clue what demographic this is for or who came up with this, but it’s … good…cheezy…has feelings. What?!? I don’t know, but it is a very binge-watchable show, mostly because at the end of every episode, you’re scratching your head, asking yourself “What the heck just happened?”

Would I recommend it? Should I recommend it?

Maybeee…….

I honestly do not know, but if you are a weirdo, I mean unique, like me, you might enjoy this craziness.

Scrambled Eggs are Sometimes Necessary

Although the title of this post will make sense after you watch Kokoro ga Sakebitagatterunda (boy, I hope I spelled that correctly) or The Anthem of the Heart is an absolutely heart-wrenching watch. It was absolutely beautiful to watch. I watched this movie with some of my friends and we were talking about it for about half an hour about how amazing it was. About our favorite characters, the characters we hated with all of the passion we could muster. Yes, the movie takes a little to get going, but once it goes… Sometime soon, I do want to watch it again, without people’s heads in the way. But always remember scrambled eggs.

I really want to tell you guys more, but I fell like if I say anything, it would be a spoiler. Technically the title is a spoiler, but it doesn’t make any sense unless you get to the point where it actually comes up. Also, don’t read the synopsis on MAL; just trust me on this.

Did I Just Take Acid?

Over the weekend I binged watched )if you can really call how short that was binge watching) Space Patrol Luluco. It was an anime the anime club at my school had watched two episodes of (they’re about 7 to 8 minutes of each), and I really enjoyed it. Why? I have absolutely no clue why. It was an acid trip from beginning to end. And there was a 31-second sequel. (So moving. I was so touched. … JK).

Anyways, it was a cute little show, that somehow tied everything from the very first episode to the 5th season. Seriously. There were 5 seasons, also known as 13 episodes. You know, same difference. It was actually one of the first animes I have seen in more than a month (I don’t know what I was thinking) so it was a short little something to dip my toes into. I think anyone who enjoys thinking to themselves “what the heck was I thinking” will really enjoy this…brilliant…display of color.

Tale So, So Old

Last weekend, I watched the live-action version of Beauty and the Beast and loved it. It might have been the nostalgia on overdrive, but I couldn’t get enough of it. I felt like I was watching the original movie again. I hope I wasn’t annoying people with my singing of all of the songs from the original. The new songs were also fabulous. I’ve been listening to one of them on repeat in between listening to the Moana soundtrack.

Now for some spoilers. (Can they there really be spoilers at this point. Yes. Yes, there are.) I’ll wait.

Alright, since people have left, here are some spoilers. If you haven’t left, that’s your problem.

First, I loved the raging on Shakespeare’s Romeo and Juliet. It was beautiful. I also found it hilarious that the entire reveal of the library that was was so ready for was because the Beast was telling Belle that she needed to have better taste in books. I was almost rolling.

Second, I almost cried a couple of times. The thing that got me the most was when the final flower petal dropped and all of the staff-turned-objects became completely inanimate. It was sadder that Toy Story 3. Also, Gaston shooting the beast stilled my heart. Because of how close it had gotten, I was almost crying that it was way to graphic for me, keeping in mind that I can binge watch Criminal Minds and other procedural cop shows. The movie just got to me.

Another scene I just loved was when Belle was about the leave the beast to die in the woods. I know it sounds terrible, but I felt that it showed more of her character, especially since he was hell-bent on returning home. That almost quick thought of just leaving him there was just too perfect for me. Also, afterward, we learn that the Beast is pretty much a little boy in a man’s body. (Be still my heart). Maybe that is why I felt that him getting shot was graphic… And then there was when Belle called the castle home. GAAH!!! I know that was a huge jump in info, but I’m a romantic a heart, ironically enough. I always need my ships to get together in the end.

I’m going to make my final point now: I loved how everything looked. Recently, I’ve been really into looking at architecture, so it, especially the change tickled my fancy.

I know that I loved this film, but I found a funny raging on the film. Click here to watch it. Warning: this is some language, but I was laughing my way through the video. It is done by a critic a watch a lot of and his brother. Hopefully, it doesn’t trigger anyone.

Saving Our Island

Recently, and by recently I mean over Summer Break, I watched Moana. And it was amazing. Disney has been so on point recently, it pains me to think about Disney Channel Original movies. (Those still hurt my heart.) I loved it in a kinda ironic way. It made fun of some tropes while still using those same tropes, aka the Princess trope. That was pure gold to me. If you hadn’t seen it, even though you probably have at this point, go watch it. It might even be close to being on Netflix. The musical numbers were so amazing that I am still listening to the soundtrack, even though one of the songs in the film looked like an Alice and Wonderland LCD trip. (You all know which one I’m talking about.)

But seriously, who ships Moana and Maui? Seriously…why is that ship a thing.

GAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHH!!!

Click here if you want to be blinded.

But seriously, this movie was amazing. Go watch or watch it again. My favorite character, personally, was the chicken. He was just awesome. I even liked it better than Moana sometimes. (Don’t kill me.) I’ve been wanting to paint a watercolor painting. hmm… This might be where that came from.

February 14, 2017

Okay, guys. I have been so stressed out lately. There have been so many things happening. And I’m just sooooooooo stressed out. It’s Valentine’s Day, and I am so not feeling the love. (Except for the cookies by parents got me. That was life at a time like this).

Currently, I am taking a course where my class of six is going to go to high schools and teach students how to do “science” and have them help with actual studies. That is great and all except for the fact we have to create lesson plans and all of these other things, but I have done practically everything for it. It feels that I have done the most work, outside of the professor teaching the course. I did one thing over the weekend because there was approximately one for every person. When I went back Monday to see if anyone else had done anything, there was nothing except what I had done. Keep in mind that it is literally just finding information of fill out the excel spreadsheet that I had created to hold all of the information. Nope. The logician, INTP/J (I’m about 50/50 between the P and J) in me would not let that fly. Instead of just leaving passive aggressive notes about how other people need to do things, I did the majority of what was left and created a to-do list, both with passive aggressive notes on them. I know that it is probably wrong to do so, but I just couldn’t let it go.

Another thing that I’m totally peeved about, while there is nothing I can do about it is that I need to watch about five hours worth of documentary about the Gulf War. It’s (a) going to be a total bore and (b) old. I am going to have to literally fight for the ability stay awake. I still need to do laundry.

And everyone probably knows about the Calculus class that I’m taking, but for those who don’t know, I was stupid enough to take my Calculus III class online instead of taking at 6 at night like a normal person (these were my only options, guys). Other than being about a week and a half behind, yet again, but my test is missing. And by missing I mean that I took it, got a zero, didn’t get an email from my grader like I was apparently supposed to get. I received this email and started to cry for about 20 minutes straight. My mother called be during this trying to calm be done and actually giving me the will to actually email the professor back. Since it is an online class, we have to go to a testing center, luckily I had my receipt from the to prove that I actually went to take the test. Hopefully, something good comes out of this. I’ll keep you guys up to date about this.

Talk to you guys later.

February 7, 2017

I’m writing this at a time where I’m trying to stay awake, yet ridiculously tired at the same time, so sorry in advance if there are some things that just make absolutely no sense.

I’m at that point right now where I feel like I have done everything, yet nothing at all. It is horrifying when I go back to my to-do list and see that I have gotten things done, yet I have so much left to do. Maybe it’s because I’m too stressed out. I need more time to do things, yet there are not enough hours in the day to do things, especially when I’m as tired as a am. I feel like I need caffeine to stay awake. It also could be the app on my computer. It reduces the blue light on my computer. I should really turn that off when I have homework to do to keep me awake, except that I stay up late when I do homework so that probably would work since I need more sleep. Tonight will probably be an early night after I do laundry. Also, like an absolute nerd, I’ve been watching Power Rangers: Dino Thunder. It is my childhood and is super cheesy, and I can’t find a reason to care. I am doing in symbolic protest of the new Power Rangers movie that is coming out that has none of the feelings of the original series. It feels like everyone is trying to get on the train of making childhood favorites into a more mature version of themselves, which I disagree with to some extent. Yes, characters should age with the audience that it is aimed towards, yet they should still have the same feeling that gravitated an audience towards them. This is every similar to by feelings towards the DC Movieverse, especially towards the Joker. The Joker was one of my favorite villains in DC. And then he was made very dark, and I didn’t get the same feeling from the character anymore. Yes, the Joker is crazy but it wasn’t completely crazy if that makes any sense. Hopefully, it does, or at least someone kinda sorta gets in. I also kinda want to know if anyone feels this way, especially when a movie or television company reboots a franchise that doesn’t need to be rebooted. *cough* Avatar: The Last Airbender *cough* Sorry, I don’t know where that cough came from. But I’m going to leave in here. More things to check off of my checklist.

P.S.: I mean the movie and not Korra. Just wanted to make that clear.

Reactions to RWBY Volume 4

First thing to say, this volume was absolutely amazing. New characters were introduced, more character development. On top of that, my shipping heart was completely on overload by the end. Since I will be talking completely about what happens, click the read more if you want to see it. Hopefully it works so that no one gets spoilers that don’t want any. To catch up, all of the RWBY episodes should be on YouTube by Saturday for those who do not have a membership to Rooster Teeth.

February 5, 2017

Last night I got back super late from watching the RWBY finale. It was amazing, per usual. Unfortunately, there is no set day for when Volume 5 comes out, but I cannot wait. Also, Tumblr has been hilarious over the ending. In other words, do not go on social media if you have not seen the most recent episode. I have personally made that mistake several times. There is no open spoiler button, unfortunately.

Another thing, I have a test Monday, so I really need to get on that. I still have four lectures to watch that I did talk about Monday. Still questioning why I’m taking an online class. I am now scheduling when I’m going to watch the lectures because that is honestly the only way that I’m going to remember it. The problem with that is that my schedule is all over the place. There is no set time every day that I’m free. Woe is me. But since I still have to get that homework done, as well as try to get some videos recorded, I’m going to let you guys go now. See you guys later…
